About Lorinda Van Roekel

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Lorinda Van Roekel. I am married to Brad, who is also a teacher at Boyden-Hull. We have three boys and a dog. We enjoy golfing, spending time together as a family, and going to our boys' sports events.

Kindergarten is such an exciting time in a child's life. In kindergarten we learn many things, such as letters and sounds, reading, numbers and counting and much, much more! We also have so much fun! We learn through hands-on activities, games, play, and working together.

Educational Background:

I graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. I also received my masters degree in education from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa.

Teaching Experience:

My first teaching assignment was transitional kindergarten. I have also taught special education and have been teaching kindergarten since 2000.
