Hearing and Vision Screenings are completed each year per State of Maine regulations
Screenings are conducted as follows:
Vision Screening:
Pre-K, K, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th grade
Hearing Screening:
Pre-K, K, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade
A written referral form will be sent home if your child does not pass their Vision or Hearing Screening with the recommendation for further evaluation by an appropriate Healthcare Provider.
If you or your child's teacher have a concern about your child's vision or hearing a screening can be conducted upon request.
* If you do not want your child to participate in hearing or vision screenings, please notify the school nurse in writing.
