The Dotty Clark Championship race was established in 1960 as a friendly competition between Boise and Borah High students. The schools dedicated the race to a popular classmate, Ms. Dotty Clark, who was killed in a car accident. Since then the program has grown to include all schools in the Treasure Valley and today includes 36 high schools and 37 junior high schools in the area. Well over 1600 students participate in this program each year and those students who compete in three or more races qualify for the end of the season championship, the Dotty Clark. Students are welcome to qualify in multiple events. Students should check the Dotty Clark Qualifiers file below to see if they are eligible to compete.
