The Calendar Self-Assessment typically requires 15-30 minutes to finish depending on your proficiency. It will require you work in your Google Calendar @ Blake in order to complete five hands-on activities.
You may re-take the assessment as many times as you would like in order to get a score of 80% or above. We encourage you to use the online resources (videos and step-by-step directions) to get a good score.

SECTION 1: Understanding Google Calendar
I know how to toggle between calendar views (Day Week, Month, 4 Days, Agenda)
I know how to refresh my web browser (in order to solve 95% of Google related problems)
SECTION 2: Scheduling and Editing Events
I can edit the details of my events, such as time, location, and description
I can utilize the “quick add” feature to efficiently schedule an appointment
I can create reminders for my events, including emails and pop-ups
I know that I should NOT use the event colors for a specific event
I know how to show myself as “Available” or “Busy” for an event
SECTION 3: Inviting Guests to an Event
I know how to send my guests an emails and/or notifications.
I know how to view a guest’s availability through the “Find a Time” tool.
I can change the privileges of my event to allow or disallow guests to make changes.
SECTION 4: Reply to an event
I can respond to event invitations directly from my Google Calendar.
I know how to edit my RSVP and add notes to an event I have been invited to.
I can recognize the permissions I have been granted by the host of an event.
I can reschedule an event and notify my guests through email.
SECTION 5: Search, Print, and Labs Be Ready and on Time

I am able to view the calendars of my coworkers and friends.
I know how to turn calendars “on and off” for easy viewing (layering).
SECTION 7: Sharing Calendars
I understand that all Blake calendars are set to free/busy by default.
I know how to use my permission settings to control who has access to my calendar.
I can share and edit calendars in the “My Calendars” section.
SECTION 8: Help and other resources
I know how to access and search the “Quick Answer” resources in Support @Blake.
I know that I can ask a colleague for help when I get stuck.
I know that this is JUST a calendar. It is designed to help me and my colleagues increase communication, collaboration, and lower the stress of finding time.
I have signed out of Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Groups, and Docs).
