Blackstone Academy Charter School is an independent charter public school that is an incorporated, private non-profit 501c3 organization governed by a Board of Directors.
Our voluntary Board of Directors leads our organization by ensuring that the mission and vision of the organization is carried out. They provide oversight for the school and the SPIRIT Educational Program. The Board is empowered in ways similar to a school committee. Blackstone Academy Inc. is a local educational authority (LEA) and has no formal affiliation with local school districts.

The public is welcome to attend any meeting of the Blackstone Academy Charter School (BACS) Board of Directors or its subcommittees. Any changes in the agenda will be posted on BACS' website, BACS’ principal place of business, and will be electronically filed with the RI Secretary of State's website at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the meeting.
