Funds under the Johnson O'Malley Act are available to provide supplemental services for certified Indian students who have at least one-quarter Indian blood or are members of federally recognized tribes. These programs aim to address the unique educational needs of this specific group. An Indian Education Committee, made up entirely of parents of qualified students, is involved in the development, implementation, and evaluation of these programs.
Eligibility for Johson O'Malley (JOM) Program: Tribal membership card/letter or CDIB. The JOM Program requires the student to possess tribal membership of a federally recognized tribe. Written documentation must be provided.
Supplemental Services may include: School supplies, Backpacks, Field Trips, Graduation cap and gown, ACT voucher - one per year, Reimbursement for portion of athletic shoes - one per year.
