Scoot is one way to get students up and moving. Use flashcards, cut apart a worksheet, use problem solving cards, use bags of manipulatives. The possibilities are endless. This activity can be a great way to practice math concepts and do quick formative assessments.

Place Value Scoot- Scoot activity relating to place value. This uses a few of the cards for pictorial along with some concrete ways to represent numbers (straws or base ten blocks). Put these materials in baggies and put on their desks.
Intermediate Scoot Example for 4.NBT.2
Using 4.NBT.2 Standard, I created a presentation that would help teachers understand how you can engage students in a Scoot that includes concrete, pictorial, and abstract representations. Using the Scoot activity to engage students in practicing these skills as well as a formative assessment can be extremely valuable. The #2 Scoot Activity includes directions, grid, and a few reminders of what you can use in Scoot to engage students in multiple representations.
