About Mr. Hogan

Growing up as a resident in the northwest suburb of Arlington Heights, Mr Hogan (Mr H) spent his early academic career at Buffalo Grove HS, where he was a three sport athlete in football, wrestling and track. Mr H graduated from Buffalo Grove wanting to pursue further in science being heavily influenced by his excellent high school teachers.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison admitted Mr H as an undergraduate and he spent four years as an engineering major with a second degree in mathematics, before graduating in May 2002. Go Badgers!

Mr H worked for a number of years as a practicing engineer improving the efficiency rates of commercial grade HVAC systems and dehumidifiers. During that time, he discovered that a much more rewarding profession was in education.

In 2006, Northern Illinois University provided him with a teaching certificate in secondary level physics education. Today Mr H is privileged to be working with the students, staff and community of Oak Forest HS entering his 14th year of teaching (11th at OFHS).

Mr H spends his free time worrying after his cat, Mack, while tinkering with many technology tools all too often. He also enjoys spending the weekends attending many musical concerts with his wife - his favorite band being Interpol.

Let's have some fun this year! GO BENGALS!
