Scholastic Bowl is a fast-paced academic competition for students. In a match, a team of five students tries to answer questions on a wide range of topics quickly and correctly. An electronic buzzer system is used for short toss-up questions, and a team that answers a toss-up question correctly earns the first chance to answer a longer multi-part bonus set of questions.
OFHS has both Varsity and Frosh/Soph teams that compete in the South Suburban Conference (SSC) schedule. Practice begins in early November, and the season concludes with the IHSA tournament in March.
