I have a Bachelors of Arts in Social Science and a Masters of Arts in Exceptional Child Education, both are from Southeast Missouri State University. I am an ABCTE certified teacher, which means I am certified in 14 states and internationally to teach English. I am certified in Missouri in the content areas of; K-12 Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical Special Education, 5-9 English, 9-12 English, and K-12 Library Media Services.

I was a paraprofessional in the Bernie R-XIII School District from 2009-2016. During the 2016-2017 school year I taught HS English at Advance R-IV Schools. I returned to BHS during the 2017-2018 school year to teach 7th-12th grade Special Education.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Alex, who is currently a JH/HS English teacher in the Malden R-I School District and an Adjunct Instructor at TRCC in Dexter. He will be joining the Bernie Mules next year teaching JH/HS English. We have three children; Ethan, Tatum, and Jameson that keep us on our toes. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my large extended family in the area (see below).
