This will be my 24th year at Benchmark and I am excited to see what the 2018-2019 school year has to bring! I have lived and worked most of my life in and around West Chester, PA. I did my undergraduate and post-graduate work at Penn State. I am married 16 years with a step-daughter who just graduated from Humboldt University in California, and a daughter of my own starting 7th grade. When not being a teacher, wife, or mom, I am usually training for some kind of trail or orienteering race. You should be aware that my eyesight is extremely poor and I often use large fonts to help me read, especially later in the day. Don't be alarmed if your emails from me are in "all caps" - I am not yelling, my eyes are tired. Finally, your children are very special to me. It is my pleasure to do what I can so that each child grow in confidence, skills, and strategies. And yes, I really do love all things STAR WARS - especially Darth Vader!

Grade/Subject: 7th Grade Language Arts & 8th Grade Science, 7th Grade Mentor

This will be my 3rd year at Benchmark and I am excited to take on new roles this year as a Physics teacher for eighth grade! I was born and raised in the Montgomery County area, but my family still has strong ties to the Naples area of Italy. I earned my BS in Middle Grades Education with a Reading Minor at West Chester University, where I first heard great things about Benchmark School. I began teaching right out of college at a local parochial school before finding my way to Benchmark. When not being a teacher, I am usually spending time outside and reading. I really love Super Mario Brothers - especially Toad and Yoshi!
