Mr. Davies

Hello, and welcome to the website of The Bellevue Community School Bands. We have a strong tradition of quality bands here in Bellevue and I am happy to be here to continue the tradition. This is my seventh year in Bellevue and I hope to be here many years. Here is some information about me.

I was born and raised in a small upstate New York town called Westernville. Westernville is located in the central part of New York and near Rome, NY, Utica, NY and Syracuse, NY. I went to school in Holland Patent, NY and graduated in 1990. I then made the long trek across country to Bozeman,MT and attended college at Montana State University and studied Music Education. I graduated in December 1995 and began my teaching career in Ennis, MT. I taught in Ennis from 1996-2000. In 1999 I got married to my wife Iris. We moved to Buffalo,SD in 2000 and taught there until 2004. In 2004 we moved to Britton,SD and I taught there until 2007. In 2007 we moved to Lusk, WY and taught there until 2014 when we moved to Bellevue. I have now been at Bellevue for 7 years and plan to be here many more.

During all of these years since 1999 we became a family of 2, then 3, then 5, and finally 6. in 1999 I married my wife Iris. She was a home daycare provider for 17 years and is currently a educational Associate at the Bellevue Community School District. In 2002 our son Derek was born in Spearfish,SD. He is a great tuba player, loves the NY Yankees and Green Bay Packers and any history about wars the United States has participated in. In 2008 we increased our family to 5. That's right twins! Abby and Brook were born in Rapid City, SD and are currently 12. They are not identical and spend a few minutes with them and you will quickly find out they are completely different. I won't list their differences because they might read this and well you know.. In 2010 our family increased to 6. Caity was born in Douglas,WY and is currently 10. She is a uhmm very active and fun. She wants to be a cowboy, not a cowgirl. We will keep working on that. Oh there is also me I have been teaching for 24 years and love music, especially band. I have taught band, choir, guitar, drama and have coaching experience in basketball and baseball. I love fishing, music, sports, movies, reading and other things that I can't currently think about at this moment. I am a diehard Buffalo Bills fan as well as the New York Yankees, Syracuse Orange, and the Bellevue Comets.
