Teaching Since: 2005

Courses/Grade Taught: I taught 5th grade for nine years at Belleville Intermediate School. In March of 2014 I had the privilege of becoming the District Library Media and Technology Specialist for students 4K through 12th grade. I truly enjoy my position where I focus on promoting literacy, inquiry, and integrating technology for all students at the School District of Belleville. In 2017-2018 I became certified to teach PLTW's Gateway course entitled App Creators. Since the 2018-2019 school year, I am responsible for teaching this computer science coursework to all 6th grade students during their rotations.

Education: Bachelor of Science - Elementary/Middle Education from Marian University, Master of Arts - Educational Technology from Marian University, and I hold my Library Media Specialist certification from UW-Whitewater.

Professional Organizations: CCBC, BEA, WEMTA, AASL, ALA, and ISTE.

School Leadership: District Technology Committee leader and District member on the Leveraging Learning Leadership (L3) committee.

Community Leadership: I serve as treasurer on the Library Board of Trustees for the Belleville Public Library, and am proud to be a part of the 100 Women project to help fund the NEW Belleville Public Library and Community Center. This wonderful new community facility should open in 2021.
