Dental Assistant Functions

The Dental Assistant supports the Doctor in clinical treatment care of patients. Other functions include sustaining patient comfort, managing supplies, listening to patients’ needs and educating them on dental procedures, working efficiently to maintain doctor’s schedule and adhering to all safety policies and procedures. The Dental Assistant will also organize and maintain lab equipment, take and develop x-rays, in addition to assisting with clerical work as needed and contributing in the janitorial aspect. The ideal Dental Assistant candidate should possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, be willing to learn knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology, a friendly, outgoing demeanor and excellent organizational skills.

Work week:

Monday to Saturday – must be flexible with working hours.

Qualifications:

Education:

An Associate’s Degree preferably in the Sciences but others may be considered.

Requirements:

You must have a positive and outgoing personality, exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, have excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills. Applicant must also be bi-lingual.
