The ninth annual Witch Way will be held on Saturday, October 27th, 2018.

We are excited to announce some major changes to our race this year:

      • Shorter Course - it will no longer be a timed 5K but a shorter distance Fun Run
      • New Course
      • Halloween-themed pit-stops throughout the race
            • Candy and prize giveaways at pit-stops

The proceeds from this race will go to support more inclusive seating options in the dining hall and technology in the classrooms at Ross A. Lurgio Middle School. The Fun Run starts at 10:00am.


What is the cost of the race?

The cost of the 5K race before 10/14 is $20.00 (with t-shirt $30), from 10/14 through race day, registration is $25 (with t-shirt $35). Please note t-shirts are an additional $10 - if you would like to purchase one add it on to your registration. Additionally and as part of Lurgio’s commitment to community outreach, Lurgio will be donating a portion of the money raised to Camp Allen (for adults/children with cognitive and physical challenges) located in Bedford.

How Do I Register for the Race?

We are asking all participants to register online. REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!


This race is being held the Saturday before Halloween so if you have a costume, please feel free to wear it during the race. This year we will be having a costume parade prior to the start of the Fun Run and we will be presenting awards to the runners with the best costume. Be creative!

Post Race Foods

Last year, we had food from Chipotle Mexican Grill, Lui Lui, TCBY, and Stoneyfield. We will also had yogurt, fruits, gatorade and water for after the race. This food and drink are complimentary for the participants. Check back closer to the race to see what special after race food we will have for you!

Raffle Prizes

All participants of the Witch Way Fun Run will be eligible to enter our raffle of great prizes. Be sure to enter your number for the possibility to win.


We need a lot of people doing a lot of different jobs to put an event like this on. If you would like to volunteer, please check back soon to sign up.

We are also looking for financial support from local businesses. Your donation will help us meet our challenge. A donation of at least $250 will give your company a spot on our t-shirt, which will be given to all race participants, as well as on our website.
