Stand By Me is Back!

Stand By Me is a day-long conference of workshops for 7th grade students and their parents/guardians that focuses on helping them navigate the road to adulthood. This positive and popular program served the 7th grade students of Bedford for 30 years prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, the pandemic put this incredible event on pause for three years. The result has been a break in volunteers and knowledge about the program.

We are happy to say that Stand By Me is back! This year, it will be taking place on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at St. Anselm College. The day will feature more than thirty workshops that will address topics including conflict resolution, drug and alcohol awareness, peer relationships, family dynamics, and internet safety. College professors, motivational speakers, authors, educators, and healthcare professionals will lead these workshops. Stand By Me is a program designed to provide parents/guardians and their seventh grade students with a unique opportunity to share time together, improve communication, and get a better understanding of each other.
