Cardigan Chaperone Information

Cardigan is a success each year due in large part to the significant community involvement and support that the program enjoys. Without your help, the Mount Cardigan Program would not thrive as it does.

Commitment:

Cardigan Chaperone Night: Wednesday, October 5th, 2022, 6-8PM, Lurgio Middle School

Cardigan Trip: 3 days / 2 nights: You will be assigned to be on Cardigan during the same part of the week as your child;* however, you will not be in the same campgroup.

(*EITHER Monday 10/17 - Wednesday 10/19 OR Wednesday 10/19 - Friday 10/21)

Background Check Information

Once you have completed the chaperone form, you will be entered into our Cardigan Chaperone Database for the current Cardigan trip. Please understand that once you are in the database:

• The School Board requires annual background checks for all chaperones, and free background checks will be completed at the SAU beginning July 1, 2022.

• Once you have completed a background check, you will be assigned to a campgroup, and a campgroup teacher will contact you with more information in early September.

• You will be placed in a campgroup going to Cardigan on the same dates as your child, but you will not be placed in your child’s campgroup.
