Hello! My name is Mrs. Charlton. I started teaching in Bedford County in 2005. Since my arrival, I have taught second, fourth and third grades. My career began in Rockingham County, VA where I taught first and third grades. In Cleveland, Tennessee I gained preschool experience while my husband was attending school.
My husband and I came to this area while we were working for Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Home. We spent ten years there helping children with a wide range of needs. The experience I gained is invaluable and many times has proven useful in my various roles at Moneta.
Hi! My name is Mrs. Warren. I am very excited about teaching the third grade for the first time. I have taught second grade for sixteen years, fourth/fifth grade for two years, and first grade for five years. This is my twenty-fourth year of teaching. I am very proud to say that all of my teaching career has been here at Moneta Elementary School.
I have been married for twenty years. I have one son who is eighteen years old. I have two inside cats. Their names are Sweet Pea and Precious. We got them at the same time. They are twelve years old. I enjoy shopping, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and reading magazines.
This year is a little different from previous years. Mrs. Warren will be teaching math to all students. Mrs. Charlton will be providing the instruction for reading, language arts, writing, social studies, and science. Mrs. Kirby will be providing instruction for cursive, word study, and remediation.
