About Me

I have always loved literature and my passion is all aspects of Language Arts. I obtained my BA in Education/English from Ottawa University and my MS in Education with an emphasis in English from SMSU. I love to teach and am lucky enough to teach my passion. I teach four English courses at BEAHS: College Now Literature 120, Humanities, American Literature, and English 10. As students advance, they shouldn't hesitate to come talk to me about what each class entails so they make the best decision for their academic success. My goal as a teacher is to help students find a love for literature, writing, and learning, to help each grow in knowledge, and help them reach personal goals for a bright future.

In my personal time, I am the proud mother of two young men. We settled into Minnesota as our home four years ago and my younger son began his college journey this year. I spent my childhood in Massachusetts, spent twenty years in Arizona, but then decided to move here to follow and be closer to family. I love running, exercise, and traveling the world, but more often than not, I will be found with my nose in a book or a pen in my hand!
