My Name is Donald Witsell. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. I have a BA in geography with a minor in history from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia and an MEd. from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. I moved to Western North Carolina in 2002. This is my 26th year of teaching including stints in Bartow County, Georgia and Henderson County, NC. I came to Enka High School in 2008. I earned my National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certification in 2006 and renewed it in 2016. I live in the twin cities of Enka - Candler with my wife, Erica, our son, Clayton, our twin daughters, Adella and Sylvia, and our cat, two dogs, two guinea pigs, and a bunch of chickens and fish. I am an avid runner and bicyclist and enjoy photography, reading, chess and playing guitar.
