Classroom Management

The Ball-Chatham school district has been implementing PBIS, the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports System, to increase positive behaviors among our students. PBIS is a proactive approach of establishing behavioral and social expectations for all students with clear consequences that encourage every student to make good choices. Establishing positive, appropriate behaviors creates a learning environment conducive to achievement in social, emotional, and academic areas.

Our classroom will follow the PBIS rules; Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe with clear directions in each area. If a child has a hard time following our classroom expectations, the following steps will be taken.

1. I will provide the students with redirection to help them.

2. If the behavior continues, I will contact parents and we will problem solve the behavior that is taking place.

3. If the behavior continues, parents will most likely be contacted by an administrator.
