Golf Team Rules

Golf Team Rules

1. Do not be late or miss any practices or matches. If you are going to miss a practice, you must let me know beforehand. If you are late for practice, you will play with the last group of the day. If you are late three times, then you will sit the next match after the third time and each match after that for every time you are late.

2. Practice consists of whatever the coach has planned, not your own drills. After you have completed the team drills, you can work on your own individual drills. If you can not follow this, you will sit the next match. If it becomes a common occurrence, you can play on your own golf team.

3. No throwing/slamming of any equipment EVER!!

4. No drugs, alcohol, or tobacco will be tolerated. Proof of possession will result in strict disciplinary action, possibly dismissal from team.

5. Do not talk while a coach is talking. You will show all coach’s respect at all times, otherwise you will be asked to leave the team.

6. Respect your teammates, your coaches, your school, and yourself. Always act with class and confidence. When on the golf course, use proper etiquette and manners. You are representing more than just yourself, so act accordingly.

7. When on the course, allow faster players to play through, and keep an eye out for others. Don’t waste too much time looking for balls, and always hit a provisional.

8. Bogey Golf Rule - If you shoot bogey golf or worse in a match, the next person in line will take your place if we don't have a qualifying round between matches.

9. Use good judgment at all times. If you have to ask, you probably shouldn’t do it.
