What's Happening in Mrs. Carraway's Room?
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I want to thank everyone for a fabulous school year! I have been so blessed with a wonderful group of students that worked hard, took on challenges, and had a thirst for knowledge. I am truly thankful for your support this school year and allowing your sweet child to be a part of my classroom.
I also want to thank our homeroom mothers, Megan Endaya and Julia Hill for all their help and organization of the classroom parties. I couldn’t have done it without y’all! Another thank you goes to Tonya Taylor for coming in each Tuesday to stuff Tuesday folders. That was such a HUGE help!
I’m often asked what would be good to work on during the summer months to help keep skills going. The number one thing…READ! Reading is in every subject. Also, have your child continue writing in their second grade journal or start a summer journal. Keeping their writing skills going this summer is huge. Your child will be coming home with math and science textbooks. Have your child complete a little bit of math and science each day in those books. A little bit goes a long way!
I am truly going to miss the Cloverdale community, parents, staff, and most of all the students. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of students to be my final class here at Cloverdale. They will forever hold a special place in my heart as I close this chapter in my life and begin a new one in Raleigh, NC. I wish everyone the best and I hope everyone has a wonderful summer!
