Writers Workshop: Realistic Fiction (September-November)

Learning Target: Writers will engage in the writing process through a mini-lesson, guided practice, independent practice and conferences/small group instruction. They will participate in writing a shared writing piece and analyze mentor texts to learn strategies. The students will write fictional narratives to develop real or experiences or events for new characters. They will also use rubrics to help guide their writing goals.
