My name is Jennie-Grace Marking. I am a graduate of the University of West Florida and have a degree in Teaching and Learning. This is my 15th year in education and my sixth year at the Havens. I taught fifth grade the last two years, and previously Exceptional Student Education K-5 for two years, all here at Bay Haven Elementary. Before that I taught 5th grade at NBHE, and 5th grade has my heart. 5th grade is the BEST grade! Before that I worked as a Paraprofessional for 9 years in Bay District Schools as well as NBHE. Working as a Paraprofessional helped my love for teaching blossom into a passion. I live to teach, and help children find a love for learning. I love to joke, be silly, and laugh; but I can be very strict when it is necessary. I was honored last year with the title of Bay Haven Elementary Teacher of the Year.

I am obsessed with anything unicorns, Disney, coffee ,and shopping on Amazon. I am also a huge nerd who loves Batman and Harry Potter. I survive off smiles, coffee, Disney, Target, and books!

I am married to a wonderful man named Jordan who works in film and photography. We have two awesome boys named Connor and Cooper. Connor is currently in the 7th grade and I was blessed to get to teach him in his last year of elementary school. Cooper is 2 years old, and he is a ball of energy. I am ecstatic to be working at Bay Haven another year! I will strive everyday to help meet the needs of every student that passes through my door.

ABOUT MS. KLUG

Hello! My name is Megan Klug, and this is my FIFTH year teaching FIFTH grade at Bay Haven Charter Academy!! This is truly my happy place, and I could not imagine teaching any other grade or subject! I was born in Fort Walton Beach, FL, but lived in Tallahassee for fifteen years before moving to Lynn Haven. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Flagler College with a degrees in Elementary Education and Exceptional Student Education in December 2015. I taught fourth grade just outside of Tallahassee in Gadsden county for the remainder of the school year following graduation.

My time at Flagler College was phenomenal... but I am a HUGE Florida State Seminoles Fan!! I bleed garnet and gold, and my favorite season is FOOTBALL season! I love to read, cook, kayak, and shop at Target. I also have a deep love for elephants.

I firmly believe that ALL students have the ability to go above and beyond in the classroom and in life. I strive to get to know my students personally and teach to their strengths. I absolutely LOVE what I do, and my goal is to encourage your children to aim high in everything they do.
