Library of Congress

As the largest library in the world, the Library of Congress is home to millions of books, recordings, photographs, maps, and manuscripts. Their website provides access to over 19 million of these documents and artifacts that have been digitized for online viewing, and it is great for finding primary sources to use in research.

Choose "Power Search" on the main catalog search page to search dozens of databases and online documents. Remember to check the "Include Online Resources" box to search print and online.

This site is funded by the state and is available for free to all Wisconsin residents. It allows you to utilize a variety of online resources and databases to find full-text articles from over 20,000 different sources.
