Mr. Smith

Welcome! My name is Nathan Smith. This is my 11th year teaching mathematics at Ballard High School. I grew up in Altoona and graduated from SEP high school in 2007. I then obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Central College in Pella. While I attended Central, I was also fortunate enough to get a coaching endorsement, which I use to help coach high school girls basketball here at Ballard. My wife Alison and I have been married for 10 years, we have two lovely daughters Gwenyth and Lenora, one son Brooks, and two rambunctious boxers named Harper and Ruby.

I love that I have the oppurtunity to build relationships with young men and women, while at the same time, teaching them about a subject that is extremely crucial for their future!
