Ballard East Math Intervention

Hello! Welcome to Ballard! I am originally from the Jefferson-Scranton area and taught in that district for 11 years. I wore many hats while in Jefferson--I was a Technology Specialist for ten years (I started while I was still in college), a middle school computer teacher for eight years, and the Transitional Kindergarten (which is the same as Early Kindergarten) teacher for three years. While at Ballard, I have taught Early Kindergarten and 1st grade.  I graduated from Iowa State University (GO STATE!) with a degree in Elementary Education and an Educational Computing Minor. I also graduated from Viterbo University with a Master of Arts in Education degree.

My husband Larry is also a teacher for the Ballard School District. We have two children, Kayeleigh and Gabbie.  Kayeleigh and her husband, Caleb live in Ottumwa with our first grandchild.  Gabbie and her husband, Quentin live in Ames while Gabbie attends Veterinary School at Iowa State.
