Dear Students, Families and Community Members,

As Principal of Ballard East Elementary, I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our children. We will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all children and providing supportive systems to assure they are met. By addressing school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, increased academic expectations for all students and engaging the community, it is our goal at Ballard East that all students continue their journey to be college or career ready by high school.

On behalf of the faculty and staff at Ballard East, it is my pleasure to welcome you and your son/daughter to a new school year. My past experience has shown me that it takes a team to help all students reach their maximum potential. I will work collaboratively with the staff at Ballard East to provide an academic program where all students can be successful. We will make every effort so that all students will demonstrate proficiency in literacy, mathematics, science and social studies; become successful members of society, and are able to compete in an increasingly complex world in which they will work and live. The caring and dedicated faculty and staff at Ballard East will continue to encourage all students to set high goals for themselves and to reach for their dreams. Our staff goals this year include developing higher levels of thinking and learning and higher levels of engagement opportunities.

Working together, we can ensure that the students of Ballard East continue to achieve their highest potential in the classroom. We believe our students' years as Ballard East are their opportunity to become great citizens!
