My name is Amy Labrecque, and this will be my 12th year teaching. I am from the beautiful city of San Diego, California! I was raised in San Diego, but being in a military family required me to move around as well. I have also lived in cities such as: Boston, Massachusetts; Newport, Rhode Island; and Yokosuka, Japan!
I’m a pretty active person. When I’m not teaching, I love to be outdoors, and participating in sporting events. Running is my favorite pastime, and I try to run several half or full marathons each year, but I also swim, box, and bike. Traveling and spending time with friends and family is also very important to me, including my adorable fur babies (my cat and dog). Though I like to spend a lot of time outdoors, I have spent a lot of time in school. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University (ASU) in History and Political Science. Immediately after finishing my Bachelor’s Degree, I enrolled my
self in a Master’s Degree program at ASU. Shortly thereafter I had a Master’s in Elementary Education. I love learning new things, but I love to teach new things even more! Seeing my students grow with knowledge is something that I am thrilled and privileged to be a part of!
