Principles of Engineering
The students enrolled in Principles of Engineering will learn the electrical systems and automation involved to create several complex circuits. Through the use of mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic experiments, the students will develop a deep understanding of basic control systems involved in automation and electrical circuitry. The primary focus of the course will be devoted to the processes associated with the development of various electrical systems and the use of Microcontrollers to achieve the desired results. The assignments will often include reading or research, an experiment and an exit task to ensure a working knowledge of the subject. The nature of these assignments facilitate collaboration among students with a hand-on approach to problem solving and circurity. This course will help students develop the knowledge and skills necessary for a variety of Electrical Engineering and Engineering Technology fields.
