Early Years

1. Read  "A Life Lived in a Rapidly Changing World: Samuel L. Clemens" (read “The Early Years” and “Twain’s Young Adult Life”) or "Mark Twain & the Boyhood that Inspired His Classics" or, and then write three interesting facts that you learned.

2. Video clip: Learn about Mark Twain's early life in Florida and Missouri and how those years served as a great inspiration for his later literary works, including his most famous character, Tom Sawyer. (Warning: you may have to "enjoy" a short commercial before viewing the video clip. Please be patient.)
