Autofracture Research develops open, systems-oriented net-zero transition analysis focused on accelerated fossil phaseout, clean-energy delivery, reliability replacement, finance, workforce, industrial conversion, and biosphere restoration.
Its current research focus is the Net Zero ASAP Project, a not-for-profit effort led by Shannon A. Fiume that asks what would have to be true for global operational net zero to become physically and institutionally plausible before mid-century, and what must be decided during 2026–2030 to keep the fastest pathways open.
The project’s cornerstone work is the 2030s Net Zero Playbook, a constraint-mapped blueprint identifying the earliest high-execution operational net-zero window as approximately 2037–2038, with ~2039 as the outer edge under very strong execution.
