Good Grief at Camp Frederick
Good Grief is designed for youth ages 8 - 15 that have experienced the loss of a loved one and is provided at no cost to the youth or their families. Winner of the 2013 Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Innovative Program Award, this program seeks to integrate therapeutic activities with the fun and challenges of the camping experience.
Youth will learn that grief is normal as are their feelings; they are not alone in their grief experience; it's okay to have fun while grieving and they are forever connected to their loved one.
Youth have the opportunity to share their loss and memories with other youth, camp staff, volunteers and therapeutic staff. They will learn that their feelings are normal and that there are ways to celebrate loved ones in our everyday lives.
Camp Frederick is located 30 minutes south of Youngstown, Ohio in Ohio's Appalachian Region.
6996 Millrock Rd. Rogers, OH 44455
