Wonderful very caring professor. Really knows his stuff about what his student needs are, and how to help them better succeed. Considering I was afraid of Business Statistics, not sure what to expect, and heard it could be a difficult topic, but this professor is the Master Roshi of Business Stats. I honestly fell in love with Business Stats and this professor, would be awesome to have as a lifetime mentor, for any Business Major.
Professor Dan Dewberry is a stellar professor. I enjoyed every moment in his class. I can tell that he really cares about students actually learning and absorbing the content because he teaches like he cares. I took this statistics course as a refresher and I ended up learning way more than I did when I took economic statistics at the University of Texas at Austin. They didn't cover regression and correlation analysis, indexes, time series and forecasting or decision theory. Plus, my UT stats class was super boring and the teacher didn't care if I learned at all. There are many days I looked at Professor Dewberry and wondered why he isn't teaching at Harvard or some other prestige school. Austin Community College is so lucky to have Professor Dewberry's teaching services because he is an elite professor.
You have been, without a doubt, the absolute best math teacher I have ever had! You explained things so simply and provided so many great resources that come test day I always felt prepared. I never did come to any of your in-person classes but even through your recorded lectures it always felt like you cared and that you were truly only here to help us succeed. Other math professors I've had in the past never seemed to care as much as you do and I want you to know that it meant a great deal to me.Thank you so much for teaching business statistics and teaching me that math doesn't always have to be scary, but actually really interesting!
I didn’t think any teacher could be as caring as you, but I’m glad you proved me wrong :)
Finally being able to have this wonderful experience that allowed me to challenge myself even when I didn’t want to. This class has taught me so much and all I can say is that I appreciate you for being there every step of the way. I wish you the best and will always be grateful for the learning experience that you have given to all your students!
Professor was so helpful and accommodating for me. I was in my third trimester working full time at the start of the semester. I reached out to him early in advance to make sure I had everything lined up because I was stressed with the arrival of my second baby. I finished my internship just in time for my sons arrival.
One of the most amazing and accommodating professors to date. He is so kind and genuinely wants students to learn. He never fails to lighten up the mood and become such an accommodating individual when it comes to our schedules. He makes learning fun and I could spend hours watching his videos. He covers difficult topics very well and responds to emails accordingly. Amazing man and prof.
Professor Dewberry was the best teacher I’ve had at ACC! He explains everything in a very easy to understand way. He also responds fast to grading homework, test and emails. He also comments on all tests and homework submission giving it a personal touch. He truly cares about his students succeeding and growing, and I am happy I was able to be in his class.
I have enjoyed this class, I was wary, but Dan made the class fun. I have learned many things and discovered that I knew more than I thought. Also, it is refreshing to have a professor READ what I wrote and comment on the specifics in the feedback.
Thank You, Professor Dewberry, It was a pleasure being a part of your course (EDUC 1300). You really helped Me to become more organized, focused, and more willing to achieve the goals I have set for myself. Thank You for taking the time to help Me in rethinking my career choice and what program would best fit Me. I never had a professor who was so concerned for his students' progress. Thank You for being You, " You Rock !!!! "
Now with the semester being over, I wanted to thank you so much for all your hardwork and genuine sincerity you showed us throughout these past few months. As you shared with us your tidbits of wisdom in our lectures and the comments you left us on our assignments, I truly believe you are inciting inspiration and confidence in your students. I have learned so much in your class this semester, more than I could’ve imagined. Thank you for creating an environment where it felt like a professor was truly rooting for their students to succeed beyond the duration of our class. Happy holidays Professor Dewberry!
Dan Dewberry comment: Bless you all. Stay positive. Challenges will come in life and work and health and all we can do is our best. No one is perfect Help others in need.
