TRADITIONAL TRACK APPLICANTS:

Fall 2026 Traditional track application cycle:  Nov. 9th, 2025--April 1st, 2026 

(all pre-reqs should be complete by the application deadline!--No need to wait until grades get posted, apply as soon as you pass the TEAS exam and of course meeting all other requirements)

Hello Applicants:

Thank you for applying to the Austin Community College ADN program.  This page is only for students who have applied to the ADN program -- it will be used for general and upcoming information, timelines and deadlines.

Department Method of Communication:

Make sure your ACC Gmail account (name.lastname@g.austincc.edu ) is active and working; this will be the ONLY communication method for applicants and nursing students from the department.  If you don’t check this email very often please make sure you forward it to your most used email address.  Most emails sent during this time frame are time sensitive and it is the student’s responsibility to check it often. There will not be extensions on deadlines given to students because they haven't checked their email.

 TXBON Instructions: 

Once you receive your TXBON clearance (Blue Card or Clearance Letter) please submit a copy to the following link:  TXBON Clearance Submission

Fingerprinting instructions will be sent once your name has been submitted to TXBON. This is for all Traditional student applicants that need to complete the TXBON fingerprinting requirements.  Your name will be sent to the TXBON and IdentoGO will notify you to schedule your fingerprints (to your personal email or ACC email--depending on what you submitted on the nursing application).

***Scheduling fingerprinting is NOT a guarantee acceptance in the Fall 2026 Traditional track - this is part of the application process***

Students that have already submitted a BON Blue Card or Clearance Letter or are an LVN (unless otherwise notified) will not receive fingerprinting instructions.  Please email adn@austincc.edu if you have any questions or concerns about this process.

If you are a re-applicant, you should have already completed this process (within the last year) and have submitted a copy of your blue card or clearance letter.  Please submit it to the following link if you have not done so!: 

TXBON Clearance Submission 

***Everyone must have TXBON clearance no later than Friday, June 19th, 2026  if accepted for the Fall 2026 cohort***

RNSG 1105 Petitions: 

For new applicants and re-applicants for Fall 2026 cohort:

• First round of  1st & 2nd 5-weeks of Spring 2026 RNSG petitions were sent out: 1/9/2026, 1/16/2026

• Second round of  1st & 2nd 10-weeks of Spring 2026 RNSG 1105 petitions were sent out:  2/9/2026, 2/10/2026, 2/11/2026, 2/12/2026, 2/16/2026

If you are able to register for 1105, this does NOT guarantee you a spot in the Fall 2026 cohort.  If you are not selected sometime in late May 2026, please DO NOT drop the class.  Many students cause their own delay in starting the program because they end up dropping or not enrolling in RNSG 1105. 

If you register for a section please make every effort to complete the course, as space is very limited, and many students need to complete it. If you drop the course for any reason, please notify us at: adn@austincc.edu 

Ranking Calculation Emails --late May 2026 (approximately)

Please note: Spring and Summer 2026 RNSG 1105 courses will NOT be added to calculations. Only pre-req/co-req courses and RNSG 1105 that were completed prior to the deadline (April 1st, 2026) for the Fall 2026 Traditional track will be counted.  

Ranking calculation emails will be sent out:  Mid-late May, 2026.

Please read your email carefully!  

Also, please no phone calls concerning your ranking calculations.  If the calculations you received have a discrepancy you will need to reply to the email that was sent to you.

***Please note:  YOU WILL HAVE A SHORT TIME TO REVIEW YOUR GPA RANKING WORKSHEET ATTACHMENT-- ACCEPTANCE EMAILS WILL BE SENT OUT A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER AND WHOEVER IS ACCEPTED NEEDS TO ACCEPT THEIR SPOT WITHIN 2-3 DAYS!  PLEASE KEEP CHECKING YOUR ACC EMAILS FREQUENTLY!***

NEW TEXAS BOARD OF NURSING BACKGROUND PROCESS:

*All students receiving the TXBON email, please be aware it is not an Acceptance Letter so please do not mistake it for that.  It is a step in the process whether you are admitted this semester or a later semester.

New applicants will receive an email from Identogo (to your personal email or ACC email--depending on what you provided in the nursing application) to schedule your fingerprints.  Once you are cleared by the TXBON, you will receive a blue card or clearance letter in the mail.  Please upload a copy of your blue card/clearance letter to the TXBON Clearance Submission Form.

**If you need to complete the Declaratory Order process do not delay!  All students must have clearance to begin the ADN program, no exceptions can be made!  The Declaratory process can be a lengthy process and possibly delay your program start.  This step in the process is only for students who have received mail from Identogo requesting a DO from the student.   Instructions are also on the TX BON website:  https://www.bon.texas.gov/
