About Ms. Grumm

I'm Ms. Grumm. I've been a teacher for 23 years, and this is my eleventh year teaching 2nd grade. I love 2nd grade! I've also taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, and I worked with kids from Kindergarten to 5th grade when I was the Teacher On Special Assignment at Baldwin Stocker. This year together in 2nd grade is going to be an adventure!

I grew up in Arcadia and now I live in Monrovia with my dog Rigel. 

I graduated from Pepperdine University with my undergraduate degree and teaching credential.  Later I received my Masters Degree in Educational Administration at Azusa Pacific University. I have loved my years as a student and I want my students to enjoy their education.

One of my favorite things to do is hike and be in the mountains. I've hiked over 1,000 miles in California, and I spent 1 summer hiking in the French Alps. I am also a member of the Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team. It is an all volunteer group that helps lost and injured hikers in the local mountains get home safely.

I don't drink coffee, but I do love chai teas from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Some of my favorite places to shop are Trader Joe's, Target, and Armstrong's Gardens.
