About Me

I was born in Fairbanks, Alaska and was always cold. I left state at seventeen for college. My educational experiences have taken me to Grinnell College in Iowa, the University of California in Berkeley, and the University of Chicago. After returning to Alaska, I decided to make my home in Anchorage. Education has always been my passion and I am thrilled to be teaching, and learning with, the students at Rogers Park!

Anchorage is a fantastic place to live! From skiing to hiking to time at the beach, Anchorage has so much to offer. My family loves to camp and fish in the summer and ice skate in winter. We are so lucky to have such wonderful school communities here in the Anchorage. When I am not spending time with my family, I enjoy reading, writing, listening to Podcasts and drinking coffee. I also enjoy volunteering in our community and traveling. My travels have taken me to six countries and to almost every state.

I am looking forward to a wonderful year with the 5th graders at Rogers Park. We have much to discuss and explore in our classroom.
