Federal Register Part III: Office of Management and Budget
- New section: Conflict of interest
- Some small purchases up to $3000 (such as computers) do not have to be capitol outlay beginning in 2015-16 p. 78615 Section 200.67
- If you buy things continuously but buy in small lots, you do not have to get bids but do need purchase from different vendors.
- Parental Involvement Plan - some had theirs returned for changes.
- Obligated Funds - salaries have to be sent by September 30. Supplies must be spent by December 31.
- Indirect Cost - they don't send indirect out until April or May. You cannot go over by more than 10%.
- Title III (federal money for ELL students) - Different from state ELL money.
- Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) benefits children of low-income families as well as ELL.
- PARCC - accommodation is to read instructions in native language
- Parental Involvement Rules - approved by SBE.
- Concerning the eSchool Conversion Reports in Cognos: Student Medical Alerts will only convert the first 3 slots and the Student Disabilities will only convert the first 2 slots. It is suggested that you print out a set of hard copies for your students. To find reports, go to: Cognos and click on Student Management System (Legacy) -> District Shared-> your district-> Click on the Folder named eSchool Conversion-> Student Medical Alerts & Student Disability Alerts.
