Welcome to the Arlington Elementary Library!

 Book Checkout Procedures 

Students may check out books from the elementary fiction or nonfiction section on a weekly basis as part of their library class. Students may come check out new AR books as needed.  Students should complete the AR quiz before exchanging for a new book.  

• Kindergarten and 1st-grade students may have one book checked out at a time.

• 2nd and 3rd-grade students may have two books checked out at a time. We encourage 1 book for fun and 1 for AR. 

• 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students may have up to three books checked out at a time. 

     Note: 6th-graders may check out books from the Middle School library

Late Books: Students may not check out a new book if they have not returned their previous book or reached the maximum limit.

The mission of the Arlington Public School Library is to help our students become 21st-century information and technology leaders, prepare them for life-long learning, and help them develop a love for reading.
