Mrs. Amundsen
I'm looking forward to a great first grade year! This is my 17th year at EDW. I am passionate about making school a caring community where everyone feels safe and respected. My favorite part of first grade is studying insects in science!
I have an Early Childhood Degree from UW-Stout and a Master's Degree in Education from Saint Mary's University.
My family lives in White Bear Lake. I have a seven year old daughter named Carly and a four year old daughter named Sophie. Sierra is our 1-year old puppy who loves to run around the yard. Our favorite things to do as a family are to go to parks around town and go get ice cream at Cup N Cone in WBL. We also like to go up north and swim, fish and have campfires.
I am excited to start this school year and encourage you to contact me if you have any questions.
Always,
Mandi Amundsen

Hi! I am so excited to be a part of the 1st grade team this year. This kicks off my sixth year as a teacher, and third at EDW.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher ever since my freshman year at Roseville Area High School. There is no better feeling than working with students and watching them grow academically, emotionally, and socially. I strive to always create a welcoming classroom environment that allows friendships, conversations, and learning to come naturally. Making sure students feel a sense of belonging is a top priority of mine and always will be.
After graduating from Roseville Area High School in 2013, I attended The University of Jamestown to play basketball and earn my undergraduate in Elementary Education, followed by a Master's in Leadership, and Curriculum and Instruction.
I was born and raised in Roseville and live just next door in Shoreview, with my fiancé, Kaitlyn. I am always in the community playing basketball, going on walks, spending time with family and friends, and loving up on my 9 year old nephew, Nolan, who is a 3rd grader in Eden Prairie.
I am looking forward to a school year full of learning and memories!
All the best,
Logan Brown
Mrs. Koester
Hello! I'm so excited to be to be working with this talented team again this year. This year marks my 14th year teaching and my 10th year at EDW. What makes teaching so wonderful is igniting a child's passion for learning and supporting him/her in discovering his/her amazing capabilities!
My educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Literacy Education, and my K-12 Reading License. Both of my degrees are from Hamline University.
I live in Roseville with my husband, John, and our almost 3 year old, Caleb, and our sweet dog Charley. We love spending time in nature: camping, canoeing, and hiking. I also spend time quilting, reading, gardening, running, and shooting photos. I live in the community, so you may see me out on a run, pushing Caleb, or on a family walk.
I'm looking forward to our school year together!
Warm regards,
Freya Koester
