Harmony Elementary School with the Board of Education approval participates in the Community Eligibility Provision program. The overall purpose of the CEP program is to provide nutritional meals to students at no cost during the school year. Harmony Elementary School will evaluate and determine participation on a yearly basis.
All enrolled students in our school are eligible to receive a healthy school breakfast and school lunch at no charge each day. No further action is required of you. Your child will be able to participate in this meal program without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.
The CEP program is a relatively new alternative to the traditional application process associated with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) School Breakfast and National School Lunch Programs. The CEP program alleviates the burden on families by eliminating the co-pay for meals and household applications which helps schools reduce costs associated with collecting and processing those applications.
For more information about the CEP program, please visit USDA.gov/school-meals/communityeligibility-provision
