Cross country is a fall sport for 7th- and 8th-grade students. Girls and boys practice together, but compete separately. Races are approximately 2 miles, but we begin with much shorter runs at practice. Even students with no running experience can join cross country, and we will work up to the 2-mile races. There are no cuts! Everyone can run in every meet.
All runners should register on RunAmherst.com.
Click on “AJH - XC Registration” under the “AJH” tab.
Practice began Monday, August 3, but we are still accepting new runners!
Until school begins, we will practice on weekdays 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM.
Meet in front of AJH.
Athletes must have the complete OHSAA physical packet to begin practice.
