Migration in the past and present
Taking the mind map into consideration the student group should be divided up into topics they can work on
[for Stadtlohn that could be: 1. Migration in the 19th century – Why did Germans flee to America in masses?; 2. Driven by fear - The exodus of Jews in the National Socialism; 3. “ Wirtschaftswunder!”/ Economic miracle – Which role did the “Gastarbeiter” (guest workers) play?; 4. Migration crisis [pt. 1] – Who comes why and on which way?; 5. Migration crisis [pt. 2] - How is migration viewed and assessed in our country? [70 min]

Students engage in a topic-based conversation with their exchange partners and report what the worked on; private conversation is also allowed when project news are covered [20 min]

Students continue to work on their project and decide on the format of their result (PPP, social media, report, photo journal, film, interviews, audio play/ podcast etc.); whilst doing that they should constantly check with their partners and let themselves be inspired by their decisions and results [90 min]

Putting the puzzle pieces together
Students work on their projects and ideally have it ready for presentation after this session; whilst doing that they should constantly check with their partners and let themselves be inspired by their decisions and results [90 min]
Friday, 11th February, 2022

Presentation
Students present their results amongst each other [the next step of international presentation via video conference could take place in the next semester; also the question of migration in the future should be covered in the second semester] or presentation of three groups (one from each country) via video chat. [90 min]
