The Aviator Band is steeped in history and tradition. The "Pride of the Sky" is an integral part of the Alliance Community. The Marching Band performs in the local Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, and Martin Luther King Jr. Parades as well as both the Kick-Off and Grand Parades for the City's Carnation Festival. The Marching Band also performs at all home and away football games as well as the Stark County Fair Band Show, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Parade and other band shows throughout Northeast Ohio. The marching band consists of instrumentalists, a flagline, and majorettes.

The AHS Concert Band presents 2-3 free concerts each year. Playing a variety of repertoire from classic band literature to fun pop tunes. The Concert Band also participated in the Ohio Music Education Association's Large Group Adjudicated Event. In 2012 the Aviator Band received a Superior rating at both the District and State Level - A FIRST IN THE SCHOOL'S HISTORY and returned to state again in 2016.

Students in the AHS Band can also be members in the AHS Jazz Band, AHS Pep Band and the pit orchestra for the annual AHS Music Department Musical. Individual members are also encouraged to participate in the OMEA's Solo & Ensemble Adjudicated Event. The High School Music Department has hosted the East Site of the OMEA District 8 Jr. High S&E Event for several years.

Every other year the AHS Band travels with the AHS Orchestra and Choir to locations such as Chicago, New York and most recently Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida.
