The school’s mailing address is:
Fundación Academia Alianza Internacional
Casilla 171106186 (This is the post office box.)
Villalengua 789 y 10 de Agosto (The physical address isn’t absolutely necessary, but it has been helpful when someone has gotten the box number wrong…)
Quito, Ecuador
We also have a mailing account with the U.S. Embassy, which is to be used for official school business. If there is a need to receive documents that are required by the school for your employment, visa, or other reasons, this option is available. Note that there is a maximum weight limit of one pound for each piece, and all mail to this address must be first class U.S. mail. (No care packages, magazines, etc.!!!) In addition, the address must be used exactly as it appears below. When the mail is received, it comes to me directly and then I pass it along to whoever is supposed to receive it. Please instruct the sender not to include your name or any other information in the address or it could be returned. When these instructions haven’t been followed in the past, we have been warned by the Embassy that we could lose privilege of using the mail service… In the case of mail coming from Canada, it should be addressed to this address, as well, using whatever postage is required to send mail to the U.S. from Canada. The address is:
Director
Unit 3420, Box 141
DPO AA 34039-0141
We also have first class envelopes here in the office that can be used to send important first class mail to the U.S., using the U.S. Embassy mail services. I’m not aware if it is possible to send mail in this way to Canada. The currier generally takes mail one time per week to the Embassy and also picks up the mail one time per week. The outgoing mail must be in the official envelope. You would include the name and address of the intended recipient and not alter in any way the pre-printed return address to the school’s account at the embassy. However, generally when mail is being sent out, it is easier and timelier to send it with a colleague who is travelling, to be mailed in the U.S. There is a place on the board in the mail room where people report if they will be travelling.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions.
