Plant Encyclopedia. Wondering how to pot your African Violet? Try this database for detailed instructions on plant care.
USDA Plant Database. Information on crop plants, weeds, invasive plants, threatened and indicator species.
Neoflora. Information on thousands of plant species and cultivated varieties. Quality of information varies by entry.
Transgenic Crops. Background on how transgenic plants are generated and regulated, news updates on various issues pertaining to transgenic crops. Maintained by the University of Colorado.

Flora of Europe. Photographs and descriptions of 660 European plant species. Organized by family and genus names.
Plant & General Botany Images. Intro Botany-type image collection and an additional collection of ~4000 slides on plant families. Maintained by the University of Wisconsin. Images are cataloged by systematic relationships - unless you know your plant's genus, family, and division, you will have a hard time navigating this picture collection. However, once you get the hang of it, it's more than worth it.
Land Plants Online. A large collection of plant images and information about the evolutionary relationships between different land plants.
Botanical Society of America. Plant Geography, Plant Morphology, Phloem Development, Xylem Development, Floral Ontogeny, Lichens, Economic Botany, Carnivorous Plants, Organography, Pollen, Paleobotany, Plant Defense Mechanisms, Plant Anatomy, and Cellular Communication Channels.
Biodidac. A bank of digital biology images that is available for non-commercial use in teaching and learning. Includes beautiful, clear line drawings of plant anatomy.

Professional Societies
ASPP. American Society of Plant Physiologists. These are the people who publish Plant Physiology and Plant Cell (available at Pelletier Library and on line). The site has information on conferences, educational resources, and a job bank - recommended for search of graduate assistantships in any area of plant physiology.
Botanical Society of America. Includes links to plant images, and information about careers in plant-related fields.
PGRSA. Plant Growth Regulator Society of America. Publishes the Journal of Plant Growth Regulation. More links to plant-related conferences, job banks, and other plant hormone sites.
