Question: Where will be the camp?
Answer: The new location of "Al-Huda Academy" on Jensen.
Question: What things to bring?
Answer:
On the first day of camp please bring the following items
· Two complete change of clothes
· Blanket and pillow for full day students
· Change of clothes and a towel for our splash day
· Money for field trip and work book purchase
Please bring the following items each day:
Water Bottle: (stay hydrated!) Please provide a labeled, non-disposable bottle. On hot days, we recommend freezing the bottle overnight.
Lunch: Please provide a well-balanced lunch that will allow your child to maintain an active day.
Spray Sunscreen: We recommend that you provide spray sunscreen, as our staff can only assist your child with this type of sunscreen.
Tennis Shoes: This ensures safety and comfort as we will be playing many active and outdoor games. Sandals are acceptable on splash days only.
Towel: Weather permitting, lunch is eaten outside. A towel is used for our picnic style lunches.
Snack: For full day students please provide 2 snacks. An additional snack is required for after care students
Comfortable Clothing: Please dress for the weather and to participate in active games. Avoid dark and heavy clothing for hot days. Hats are allowed.
Backpack: Please label all belongings and store them in their backpack!

Question: When is the money due?
Answer: The first day of the camp. Click on the "Camp Pricing" for more details.
Question: My child cannot attend the camp for the entire duration? What will be the fee?
Answer: The fee will be pro-rated. For ex, if they attend only the last 2 weeks, they will be charged for that.
Question: What is the latest and greatest scoop?
Answer: The new GYM at Al-Huda Academy is ready. We will have basket ball and soccer practice every day of the camp.
Question: Who do I make the check payable to?
Answer: All checks are always payable to "Al-Huda Academy"
Question: What other forms do I need to fill out?
Answer: There are other forms that requires your signature and they are mandatory waivers and policies and guidelines. Please fill-out the forms and drop them off at Al-Huda Academy. The forms can be found on our website on the "Download Forms and Flyers" page. The Summer Camp Policies and Summer Camp Field Trip form.
Question: Can you register kids now and pay later?
Answer: Yes. It is preferable as it helps us plan better for camp resources.
Question: Why are snacks not provided?
Answer: Due to some kids dietary restrictions and food allergies, we ask parents to provide suitable snacks for their own child. We will have in-stock basic animal crackers, cereal etc. just in case a student forgets their snacks or lunch box at home.
Question: For the Little Champ camp, can you take children under 4 years of age?
Answer: Yes, as long as they are 4 years of age & POTTY TRAINED by Sept of this upcoming school year. They are considered a Preschool age.
Question: For the Little Champ camp, do they need to be potty trained?
Answer: Yes they do need to be potty trained, but our staff camp knows that kids can sometimes have potty accidents.
*Age calculation for these camps are determined based on the following dates:
Little Champ Camp: age as of the first day of camp
Youth Camp: age as of September 1, (current year)
Question: What is the Student to Camp staff ratio?
Answer: Students will be grouped based on their age levels. At this time we have 2 camp staff for every 25 students. As we enroll more students then we will hire more camp staff.

Question: Can I enroll a child with special care needs?
Answer: Unfortunately, at this time we do not have the special needs staff or resources to provide the necessary needs for a special needs student. Insha'Allah we hope to provide in the near future.
Question: What are the Covid-19 related guidelines?
Answer: The majority (or all) of our staff are vaccinated and we will have frequent sanitation and disinfection services to ensure safety within our facilities. However, if a camper is showing signs of sickness, please do not bring them to camp for the day.
Camp will implement smaller group sizes
Registration is by age group to ensure campers are with kids their age.
Campers must practice social distancing.
Campers will be required to wear their face-covering/mask during camp.
Campers must attend camp in good health. If any symptoms become present, the child will be isolated, and staff will call a parent to take the child home.
Campers must bring their water, drinking fountains will not be available.
