About Me

*Who I am:

My name is Emily Hackenmueller, and I am beginning my fifth year as a math teacher at Blaine High School! I am a member of the BHS volleyball coaching staff and coach for the Blaine Junior Olympic program as well. I love what I do and am always looking for new ways to get involved with the school and our students.

*Classroom Philosophy:

My goals as an educator are to form a classroom environment where students are engaged in learning and to help create a cooperative atmosphere where students want to attend and can excel in the subject of math!

*Educational Background:

I graduated from St. Cloud State University in May of 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and in May 2017 I received my Master of Education degree in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. I am currently continuing my studies in mathematics in graduate courses from Minnesota State Moorhead. I grew up and went to grade school in St. Michael, MN.

*Interests:

I enjoy sports and being active! Despite our tendencies for losing seasons, I will forever be a Vikings fan! I spend a lot of time playing volleyball. My family has a cabin in Sauk Centre, MN, where we spend probably a few too many weekends out of town! Traveling has become a huge passion of mine, and want to see as many things in this world as I can.
