Hello! My name is Paula Auble and I am a History Teacher at Verrado High School in Buckeye, Arizona. This is my 17th year at Verrado, where I have taught American History, AP US History, was the Social Studies Department Chair. I also spent six years as the school's Instructional Coach before coming back to the classroom to teach history again.
Before coming to Verrado, I taught various social studies courses in 7-12th grades in both the Deer Valley and Litchfield School districts. I graduated from ASU West in 1997 with my B.A. in Secondary Education (History) and graduated again from ASU West in 2001 with my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Supervision. This is my 25th year in public education and I cannot imagine doing anything else I would love so much.
I have been married for 30 years, and I have two children who both graduated from Verrado. My youngest just joined the Navy! Outside of school, my passion is American history (just ask any former student), camping, hiking, and traveling around the country. I love visiting national parks! I've been to 43 states and Washington, D.C. too! Most of all, I cherish the time I can spend with my family.
I have been blessed to teach over 4300 students and work with hundreds of amazing educators over the course of my career. I am very excited to continue meeting students and going along with them on a journey through American history!
